I have been using this model of dog bed for my German shepherds for decades--probably since the mid-1990s. At the time, the company was named Caddis, and the bed was called the Beasley couch. Now the company is Hidden Valley, the bed is Baxter, but it is definitely the same bed. My dogs love the coziness of the big, cushy bolster back and arms, and I love the fact that the cover can be removed and washed. In the old days, I used to be able to order replacement covers directly from Caddis; I hope that's still the case with Hidden Valley. And I hope they never discontinue this product--or the olive color, which matches my living room perfectly--as I expect to continue to depend on it for as long as I have large dogs.
