It is not very soft as a couch. However, it does look nice so it will do fine as an extra place to sleep when guests visit.I ordered this to replace an older futon. I wanted one that wasnt the standard cushion sitting on an uncomfortable bed spring. It is extremely easy to assemble and is quite sturdy. My daughter loves it so that is automatically a high review point. Yes, it is a little on the small size but it works just fine for us. A regular old school futon is like a queen size when you fold it out but this is more like a twin size, again which is fine for my daughter who is 8. My only "gripe" would be the arm rests. When it is described as removeable armrests, I figured they snapped on or were secured some way, but they just sit there and sometimes are annoying if you bump them off and have to keeping setting them back in place. Other than that, its a stylish, nifty looking futon that looks more like a couch than a folded up bed. The cup holders are actually nice and sturdy themselves.It’s good just thought it would be longer I’m 5’4 and I can bark lay on it without my feet going over the edgeWe purchased this to use in our camper after doing a makeover on it. It works perfect on sizing for it, but can’t imagine using it as my main sofa or bed. Shipped quick. Was as described. Didn’t take too long to assemble once found the holes on bottom.Purchased this to go under my son’s loft bed. It’s EXACTLY what we were looking for. He’s only 7, but outgrew the bean bags we had underneath there so this was so perfect for the price. I just wish the “arm rests” on the side were more affixed somehow. Velcro? I don’t know. They just slide around since they just basically sit there. But, that’s minor. This was AMAZING for the price. And we love that it folds out into a bed for sleep overs. It’s honestly such a good prospect for what we paid. Highly recommend!Packaged nicely...should have been easier to put together, one would assume. Husband is currently saying a few choice words ....no instructions, misfit parts and you have to search and find where the legs attach. Other than that, it seems nice enough...have not been able to sit on it yet...because he is still fighting with it.I am disappointed with this product, it does NOT worth the price
